Privacy Policy
ProcessMiner, Inc. | processminer.com
Last updated: July-28-2026
ProcessMiner, Inc. (“ProcessMiner,” “we,” “us”) builds AI software for continuous manufacturing. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
It covers our website at processminer.com, our marketing and sales communications, and the ProcessMiner platform (“the Platform”). It does not cover third-party websites we link to, which have their own policies.
A note on customer process data
Most of the data that moves through the ProcessMiner Platform is not personal information. It is machine and process data — sensor readings, quality measurements, production settings, and similar operational data belonging to our customers.
When a manufacturer uses the Platform, that customer is the controller of the data in their environment, and we act as their processor. Our handling of that data is governed by the agreement we have with that customer, not by this policy. We do not use one customer’s process data to train models for another customer, and we do not sell it.
If you are an employee of a ProcessMiner customer and have a question about data in your company’s environment, contact your internal administrator first — they control access and retention settings.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form, request a demo, subscribe to updates, email us, or speak with our team, we collect what you provide: name, work email, company, job title, phone number, and anything you write in a message field.
Information from Platform use. If you have a Platform account, we collect your account credentials, role and permissions, and records of your activity in the application — sign-ins, features used, configurations changed. This supports security, support, and product improvement.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website we collect standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and time on page. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies — see Cookies and tracking below.
Information from other sources. We may receive business contact information from event organizers, partners, and commercially available business data providers, and we may enrich the records we hold with publicly available company information (industry, company size, location). We use this for business-to-business outreach only.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16, and the Platform and site are not directed at children.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries, demo requests, and support requests
- Provide, secure, operate, and improve the Platform
- Send marketing communications about our products, services, and industry content, where permitted
- Understand how our website is used and improve its content and structure
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Meet legal, tax, accounting, and contractual obligations
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the Platform and support); legitimate interests (business-to-business marketing, site analytics, security, and improving our products); consent (where required, such as certain cookies and marketing emails); and legal obligation.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.
Cookies and tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:
- Necessary — required for the site to function, including security and load balancing. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — help us understand which pages are visited and how people move through the site, so we can improve it.
- Marketing — let us recognize returning visitors, attribute inquiries to the content that prompted them, and measure campaign performance. These are set by us and by HubSpot, our CRM and marketing platform.
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse third-party cookies by default. Blocking necessary cookies may break parts of the site. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required.
To opt out of our marketing communications regardless of cookie settings, use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us at the address below.
How we share information
We share personal information only in these circumstances:
- Service providers. Vendors who work on our behalf — CRM and marketing automation (HubSpot), cloud hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, analytics, and support tooling. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Professional advisors. Lawyers, accountants, auditors, and insurers, under confidentiality obligations.
- Corporate transactions. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you if a different privacy policy will apply.
- Legal requirements. When we are required to by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others.
We do not sell personal information or rent it to third parties for their own marketing.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your information may be transferred to a country that does not offer the same level of data protection as your own.
Where required, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or another approved transfer mechanism, together with appropriate technical and organizational safeguards.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and then for as long as we need it to meet legal, tax, or contractual obligations, or to establish or defend legal claims.
In practice: marketing contact records are retained while the relationship remains active and for a reasonable period after; Platform account data is retained for the term of the customer agreement and deleted or returned in line with that agreement; website analytics data is retained on a rolling basis.
How we protect information
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, role-based access control, least-privilege access for our staff, logging and monitoring, vendor security review, and employee security training.
No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any regulator as required by law.
Your rights and choices
Everyone. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by emailing [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL]. We will still send transactional and service messages related to an active account or agreement.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access your personal information; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; restrict or object to processing, including direct marketing; receive your information in a portable format; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion; to request correction; to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither); and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of other US states with comparable privacy laws have similar rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL] with the request and enough detail for us to identify your records. We will verify your identity before acting, and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows; we will ask for proof of authorization.
Third-party links
Our site links to third-party websites, including industry publications and event pages. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before providing information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices, technology, or the law changes. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version. If we make material changes, we will provide notice on this page and, where appropriate, by email.
